Ever wondered about what or how you're feeling on a full moon? Gazing up at a bright illuminated night sky that dazzles and often keeps us wide awake at night...

Each full moon is different, as are we...or are we? maybe it's just our awareness that differs. Essentially we are one, a whole, like the moon but with many different faces.

There are cycles and elements that lay intrinsic on this earth that we can tap into, tune into...to get to know ourselves better and ultimately gaining freedom and humble power to work with these forces rather than struggle against them...

This weeks full moon is in Libra. An air sign which seeks balance and harmony.

As we're constantly striving for better balance in our lives, at this time we can feel it drawing up from inside us....it might feel unsteady, turbulent, perhaps unclear and shaky. I certainly know I've been feeling this way recently. Just like it is in nature right now, everything is about to germinate, to break out... sunny and warm one minute, windy and cold the next....but it is still very quiet, young and fragile. Vulnerable is that balance that can be disrupted by external negative influences, let us be aware of these... let them not shake us to a point that blurs our vision and sways our senses.

We can honour this cycle, this moon, this Primal shaking that happens no matter how prepared or set up for life you think you might be. Surprise lurks round every face of La Luna. That mystic beauty. Exciting? Yes!! Nerve wracking...Of course!! The essence of balance is knowing one side and the other. Recognising our darkness as well as our light.

Being able to withstand the test of time, we must be in our bodies. So that we know how to take care of them. Know when to sit something out. Know when to engage. Know when we need to care. Know when we can give. In it for thousands of years. Sturdy. Growing. Nourished by ancient soil. By the wisdom of all the work that was done before us.

I offer you a couple of home practices to try out this week, to honour your wisdom, cycles and earth sensations... You! and only You can know how they feel...

1. Vrksasana; Tree Pose

Standing feet together... shift the weight into the left leg. Think pressing the foot firmly down as if making a perfect imprint in the sand. Take your right leg to the inside of your left either keeping the toes on the mat just lifting the heel. Or place the foot on the calves or inner thigh close to pubic bone. Anywhere BUT the knee!!! Explore growing the branches of your tree by raising your arms, swaying or bringing the hands to the heart centre, even closing your eyes for the ultimate balance challenge. Repeat other side.

2. Goddess Stance:

Legs wide apart. Toes turned out. Heels in line. Bend the knees. Knees tracking second and third toes and sink the sitting bones! You can do it...! Draw the lower belly in, sink a little lower. You might feel yourself wobble, this is normal. Tailbone reaching to the back line of your mat, pubic bone straight down. Lift the arms and take Kali mudra, interlacing the fingers, the index fingers point straight up and the thumbs fold over one another...

Few deep breaths and make sure you balance the weight out in the feet...

4. Write + Drink Water

Around the full moon journal your revelations and dreams while you drink crystal infused moon water (perhaps a rose quartz in a glass of water set in the window to catch the moonlight). Remember to put all your crystals outside under the full moon for cleansing and charging!

5. Dance

As if no ones watching.... we've all heard this one, but it is so vitalising!!! Put your favourite music on, or sing....celebrate all your knowledge - and release what you don't need with Grace and Gratitude.

To conclude... these times may be unsteady but keep going, journey within... trusting your Primal instincts " you reap what you sow."

I believe in the yogic teaching that we are all innately whole, peaceful and infinite. Cherish every face of the moon, every shade of light within the day. The stillness of dawn, the blast of colour at sunset.... Your tears, sighs, belly aching laughs and stumbles.... They're a part of the gigantic whole that make up you.

With love,

P.S the number 11.., today April 11th.... anyone's favourite number?? The most intuitive of all numbers. Known as a master number in numerology. It's a double digit of the same number, also prime, the vibrational frequency is doubled....

11 represents balance. How fitting for this full moon! Keep your eye out for your own symbols and meanings this week...
